Overview

The Pink Office Import Helper extension ("Extension") is designed to help Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants transfer their order history, product catalog, and customer contact data from Mary Kay InTouch to Pink Office. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect your information.

Data Collection

Data We Collect

When you use the Extension, we collect and transfer the following data from Mary Kay InTouch to your Pink Office account:

• Order Information: Order numbers, order dates, product SKUs, product names, quantities, prices, shipping costs, and order totals from your Mary Kay InTouch order history.
• Product Catalog Data (Admin Only): Product SKUs, names, descriptions, retail prices, and availability status from the Mary Kay product catalog.
• Customer Contact Data: Customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, mailing addresses (street, city, state, ZIP), and birthdays from your Mary Kay InTouch customer list. This data is sent directly to your Pink Office account and is not stored locally by the Extension.
• Authentication Credentials: Your Pink Office email and password are used to authenticate with the Pink Office service. Your password is transmitted securely and is never stored by the Extension. Your email and a session token are stored locally for convenience.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Your Mary Kay InTouch login credentials
• Payment or financial information (credit cards, bank accounts)
• Browsing history outside of Mary Kay InTouch pages
• Any data from websites other than Mary Kay InTouch
• Usage analytics, telemetry, or behavioral tracking data

How We Use Your Data

The data collected by the Extension is used exclusively for:

• Transferring your order history to your Pink Office account for inventory tracking
• Importing product catalog information to enable product management features
• Importing your customer contacts to enable customer relationship management
• Authenticating your Pink Office session to securely transmit data

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. Your data is only transmitted to Pink Office servers that you have authenticated with.

Data Storage

• Local Storage: The Extension stores your Pink Office email address, API URL, and authentication session token locally in Chrome's extension storage. This data is isolated to the Extension, cannot be accessed by websites or other extensions, and is removed when you uninstall the Extension.
• Server Storage: Order, catalog, and customer data you import is stored in your Pink Office account on secure cloud servers. This data is protected by your Pink Office account credentials and can be deleted from within Pink Office at any time.

Permissions Explained

The Extension requires the following Chrome permissions:

• storage: Used to save your Pink Office authentication session locally so you don't need to log in each time you use the Extension.
• activeTab: Used to detect whether you are on a Mary Kay InTouch page and determine which import options to show.
• scripting: Used to inject the data-reading script into Mary Kay InTouch pages when needed for import.
• Host permissions for marykayintouch.com: Required to read your order, catalog, and customer data from Mary Kay InTouch pages.
• Host permissions for beta.pinkoffice.com: Required to authenticate and transmit your imported data to your Pink Office account.

Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously:

• All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
• Authentication tokens are stored in Chrome's secure storage
• Your Pink Office password is never stored by the Extension
• Data is only transmitted when you explicitly initiate an import action

User-Initiated Data Portability

This Extension facilitates user-initiated data portability. You are in control of when and what data is transferred:

• Data is only read from the page when you click the Import button
• You must be logged into both Mary Kay InTouch and Pink Office
• You can review what page you are on before initiating any import
• No automatic, scheduled, or background data collection occurs
• No data is scraped from pages you do not explicitly import from

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it
• Request deletion of your imported data from Pink Office
• Access and export your data from Pink Office

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
